The Man at the Cemetery

Many of you know that over the last couple of years I have blogged off and on about my observations of a man that grieves daily at the grave of his wife. The headstone resides near the front of a cemetery that borders a busy road. Many people in my small community see him. Most have, at the least, paused to wonder about his thoughts as he is ever faithful in his visits, no matter the elements.  Here are some of my former posts. http://marcyblesy.com/category/the-man-at-the-cemetery/

If you’ve followed my story at all, you know that both of my parents died young which lead to the publication of my first book in the children’s genre, Am I Like My Daddy?  Seeing this man so privately grieving, yet so publicly in view for the rest of us to see, has been tugging at my heart and bouncing ideas around my head. I have written a fictional  story called The Man at the Cemetery about a man who converses with his wife daily at his wife’s grave despite his children’s disapproval. The story is made up as I have no idea the details of this man’s story or conversations. It is my imagination, though, of an ultimate love story that transcends time and space.
